Henry is crawling around with the greatest of ease and continues to test our babyproofing skills. He is gradually expanding his palate with the baby food and it even seems like most of it makes it to his mouth now. He is growing so fast and really fills out his overalls like a corn-fed Iowa farm boy. It has been fun, as the weather has been getting nice, to take him outside and allow him to experience new things. We had a picnic out on the front lawn the other day. He would grab a dried leaf with his little fingers and look at it with great bewilderment for a few moments before attempting to eat it. Dad, on a serious note, could you please get this creepy bunny off of my shoulder.

In the True Spirit of Easter
Henry juggled two Easter dinners over the weekend. We had dinner with the wife's family on Saturday. After the ham dinner and after five bottles and one box of wine , the scene was reminiscent of the Jonestown Massacre -- half empty glasses and semi-conscious bodies strewn everywhere. Sheesh. Needless to say, Sunday was quite a bit more sedate. After the smoke cleared, Henry made off with three Easter baskets. We gave him two unusually proportioned plush rabbits that seem to scare the bejeezus out of him. Witness:

Happy 31st B-day Jere!! I watched my nephew over the weekend...the good news about the crawling...they continue to get even FASTER!
Thanks Sheri - Lil' Hank is getting pretty quick. Maybe we'll see you guys this coming weekend - we'll be up there on Saturday... PEACE OUT
Oh man, his reaction to those scary bunnies is HIGH-larious!
Love those bunnies!!! We, err... I mean Esther got the whole gang after I had to drive to 3 different Target stores to score a Cousin Harris. I see that Henry scored one as well. Harris looks totally "special needs". Seriously, look at him….short bus city.
I prefer to think of the "Easter on the deck" as the rhapsody of spring! Perhaps we had all been indoors too long and the 80+ weather brought out the spring frolic! (Good thing Henry was taking a nap!)(Emmy, how did the new boyfriend enjoy the ham? Er.....your mother?) Gramma Judy is shocked and disgusted!!
Yeah - those bunnies are weird and lil' Harris is definitely a little bit Corky.
As for "Easter on the Deck", I think it is the start of a beautiful tradition. However, I think Emmy's new hunka-hunka burnin' love might be permanently scarred and may boycott future family outings.
As a childprotection worker informed me......seriously traumatizing the child, not good! We all enjoy your site Jere!
