Happy Birthday Dad!  This will be remembered as one of those "priceless" moments where Henry carried in the DQ cake singing Happy Birthday as we watched (what seemed like in slow motion) it slip, slide, and land on the floor.  Oops!  I think it made for one of the funniest b-day moment ever!  :)

Easter in Truman, MN

We love you Great Grandma Dina!  Age 91

Great Grandpa George and Jere

Since we were so close to Fairmont, we had to stay at our favorite hotel with big pool, kiddie pool, and hot tub.  And for only $25, Max got to stay in our room with us.  Jere thought this was an awesome idea, I wasn't so sure - but it worked out great!

On the way home, we stopped and stretched at the Veterans Park in Belle Plaine.  The kids thought this war helicopter was pretty cool.

We will now look at a set of photos all taken by Henry. J. Johnson age 5.  He calls this series:  Easter Fun Night

Spring Stuff!

Well, we thought Spring was finally here only to wake up to a mini-blizzard a couple of weeks ago!  Henry was psyched to have his first "snow day" (preschool was canceled).  Mom was bummed.  Check out our picture window - we've never seen it covered like this... crazy wind!  Snow or not, it still does not stop Henry from wearing shorts.  He busted them out in early March.

Here the little man built a police station, holding cell complex, and squad car.  He loves his LEGOS.

Our friends daughter, Ashley turned 4 and had a sweet princess party.  Here are all the girls!

Cake!  Cake!  Cake!

Lost in a sea of palms at church this fine Palm Sunday.

This year we added cupcake decorating... messy but yum-o.

This one might be my favorite.  :)

Kiss Me I'm Irish

Henry wishes you all a Happy St. Pat's Day!

Look Ma!  I caught me a leprechaun!

Green eggs minus the ham!  I scrambled these up but just couldn't go there myself.  I ended up making a second batch of the good ol' yellow kind for me.

We partied at McDonald's playland with our friends Sheli and Maddy.  This pose is so Breakfast Club.  We also had Shamrock Shakes which the kids loved!

Using my zoom, I didn't realize they were all smashing their noses against the plastic until I put them up on the computer.  This could explain why we all have sore throats and colds this week...

Henry is definitely gonna be a ladies man.  Check out his Rico Suaveness.

Totally Random and Misc. Whatnots and Whosits

A little late, but hope you all enjoyed your Valentine's Day!  Nothing says homemade Valentine's Day cards like little white paper doilies!

As we were inside drawing, we heard the tapping of little hooves on the front porch... Goat escape!  Turns out with the wacky warm/cold weather we've been having, the snow is high enough and hard enough for the goats to walk right over the top of the fence in some places.  Here we try to round them up and out of the garage.  They are such lovely little guys but they like to eat our shrubs so back into the pen they go!

Violet is the goat whisperer... or torturer... depends on what mood she's in.

Jere is training Max to retrieve ducks, but I do a little training of my own when Jere's at work.

Charlotte is growing restless this winter.  She can't wait to get out and terrorize the country mice.

This wrestling pic. was on FB, but it's so darn cute.  In all honesty, it looks like he's totally kickin' butt here, but it's just a practice exercise with both kids taking turns learning how to flip someone over or something.  I'm such a proud mama!  Go Henry!

The kids had a Circus Day at preschool earlier in the week.  There was an elephant rolling a ball, clowns putting out fires, cowgirls, lions and tigers jumping through hoops, a strongman, fancy tightrope walkers, seals, and even a dancing bear!  They had some kids taking tickets at the door, passing out popcorn and a ringmaster announcing all the acts - Very cute!
Guess who the dancing bear was?! :)

and the cutest tightrope walker of all???

Henry's bff, Carter was a lion.

Dance Circus Bear, Dance!

Circus Day was a lot of fun - we'll definitely have to try to see a real one this summer. Later gators!
